Network Instruments® Link Analyst®: Device Performance Monitoring
and Real-Time Problem Isolation

Link Analyst 5.1 steps up its device monitoring and network mapping with real-time system, application, and
network status tracking and customizable Top "N" reports

March 11, 2008 – Minneapolis, MN — Network Instruments, a leading provider of innovative network analysis software and hardware for in-depth network intelligence and continuous availability, today announced the release of Link Analyst 5.1, a system health monitoring and network mapping software.

This version offers expanded reporting and alarm capabilities that provide improved infrastructure performance tracking and designate performance problems as network, system, or application. Link Analyst lets users customize reports to track specific resources and business group performance.

“With Link Analyst 5.1, customers have a highly flexible network monitoring solution they can shape around their monitoring needs and business activities,” said Douglas Smith, president and co-founder of Network Instruments. “Flexible licensing ensures your software can grow as the number of network devices increases.”

Real-Time Status Monitoring
New dashboards monitor network, application, and system performance status by group. Quickly ascertain problem locations by glancing at the performance status.

Expanded Performance Reporting
Use the default library of preconfigured Top N reports to track best or worst performing devices within a business group or on the network. Track resource utilization and traffic statistics.

Customizable Device Element Reports
Create and customize reports to monitor and compare device elements. Link Analyst uses SNMP and WMI data to monitor the network devices, and reports can be constructed around the polled data.

Scalable Licensing
Licenses are based on the number of tracked devices. Monitor up to 100, 500, or an unlimited number of devices, starting at $2,495.

In addition to these new features, Link Analyst continues to offer automatic network mapping, route monitoring, network discovery, and alarms.

Try a fully-functioning version of Link Analyst today.
